TRACKLISTING01. A Homeless Ghost (Daniel Bortz Remix) |
The Console commander also known under his moniker “Acid Pauli” again asked befriended producers to remix tracks from his album “Herself”. After Douglas Greed, Marek Hemmann, Wareika and Dirty Doering it is now up to Daniel Bortz, Der Dritte Raum and Nu to reinterpret the Console’s songs and tickle new facettes out of original material.
Beside Fritz Kalkbrenner, Chopstick & Johnjon und Till von Sein, Daniel Bortzis part of the bubbly Berlin-based Suol collective. Born in Berlin, he had his first gigs as a DJ when he was fourteen years old. In his hometown Augsburg he invited over the years a bulk of national and international acts to his „Forza Electronica“ partys at the club Schwarzes Schaf. In 2005 Bortz released his first remix, followed in 2007 by several EPs on Pastamusik and tracks on Circle Music, Souvenir, keinerechte and Suol. Massive attention earned his edit of the James Blake song „Limit to your Love“ on keinerechte. Last October Daniel Bortz released his first artist album “Patchwork Memories” on Suol.
Last but not least, NU presents his made his own version of Console’s „She Saw“.In 2011 the Acid Pauli-sidekick released the Bar-25-anthem „Who Needs The Sun“ und produced together with Acid Pauli a remix of „Strange“, originally released on Exploited by the Adana Twins. Other relaeases of NU can be found among other label on Katermukke. „She Saw“ becomes „I See“ in NUs remix, a dreamy afterhour-session, collecting the dew from the meadows.
Der Dritte Raum is already around for twenty years and a techno veteran, starting in the nineties on Sven Väths label Harthouse His trance-track „Hale Bop“ became a huge major-label-hit. On the climax of the commerical rave-hysteria the producer went back to the underground and released since then on his own imprint Save To Disc.In 2008 Der Dritte Raum turned his old Hit „Hale Bop“ into an electro-swing-monster, right before the electro-swing-hype swept over the dancefloors. In 2011 Acid Pauli got his fingers on the track und slowed the track down to 105 beats per minute. Now Der Dritte Raum reworked Console’s Song „Upon“ and constructed a krautrock-inspired masterpiece, that even Neu would be proud of. In July Der Dritte Raum released his newest album „Morgenland“.
