"From
updated electro-beats to out-of-control acid synths to deadpan vocals,
all the prerequisites of a club hit are here." (NME, Jan.2002)Glasgow
based Matthew Aldworth alias Crème de Menthe releases NME
Dance Single Of The Week on Disko B. Scottsman Matthew Aldworth,
who is
steaming from Zimbabwe, describes it like that: add some porn to
Kraftwerk and mix it with Soundtracks like Zombie Flesh Eaters and
you get close towards the sound of `Plastique EP` - very british
and breath taking. The lyrics of the title track is basically about
someone dressed in lots of Plastic clothes looking in a mirror and
walking about "you like the way it
looks" - "you like the sound it makes" - while a
voyeur fantasises about
being in this "plastique" outfit with the other person
at the same time.
Further questions? Then let`s quote NME again: " It is sure
to make it into the absinthe-soaked record boxes of DJ´s everywhere."
