Subverted drum'n'bassness from gerhard potuznik and hans platzgumer,
which gives genre definition the austrian double-headed nipple clamp
with a cherry on top.

Three tracks of utterly cool modern music that take about 15 minutes
to
rule and remake the world. the first runs a stand-up bass and breakbeats
over a live analouge screechout that flickers inbetween harsh white
noise and beautiful alien trebles. nice!
a second cut presents crazier synths, all blips and bloops, but
running
like freejazz alongside brilliantly sharp and subsonic electro drum
patterns.
final cut is the "coup de grace" - breaks that rock like
carl craig at his
funkiest, while the synths roll with loose grace of ray charles
and classic
hammondisms. the kind of tune the word groovy was invented for -
especially as it'll probably inspire them to take all their clothes
off.
UPDATE, may 98
The Vienna label bang on foam once more with a fine three tracker
that pushes at the boundaries of electro funk fusion with an ultra
sharp ear for hip wiggling grooves. always wayward, never conventional,
this is the kind of innovative electronica we so rarely hear these
days. three tracks, each one flawless. A gem of a record.
MUZIK, Aug98
Wayward electronic from the blunted genius of Viennese duo Potuznik
and Platzgumer. Stark dissonance joyriding the fractured electro
contraflow, this is the sonic equivalent of uncontrollable shivering
in the freezing wasteland of the North Pole. Like funky frostbite
and a nose full of icicles, this album is as stunning in its beauty
as it is freezing in its intensity. oh well - no pain, no gain...
FRONT, feb 99
Breakbeat, yes, but twisted beyond human recognition. Norwegians
Cube & Sphere take us on a sub zero journey through fjords,
forests and up craggy cliff faces. Out of the club and into the
countryside, this is f'n'b at its finest!
