I was born
in Copenhagen,
Denmark -
went to a boys school and was trained in music & singing in The
Copenhagen Boys Choir - graduated from High School (Mathematic/music)
- 6 months in New York City taking drum lessons at work-shops -
made clinics for Roland Music Instruments in Scandinavia - before
getting into techno proper, I heard punk music and modern electronic
music.
I worked
as a session drummer/programmer for about 6 years, in the end, I
simply just got frustrated.
I realised I wanted to go my own way and do my own music. I had
been a drummer ~ince the age of I 2 and with a lot of different
jobs - television, recordingsessions, jazz, house and hip-hop. 1
was also one of the first to start using all the new drum machines
and electronic drums here in Denmark. Most drummers didn't like
the new technology, but 1 just started to explore them and from
there it just kicked off!! Through this, moving into electronic
dance music was a togical step for me. For a short period I worked
with stock-exchance transactions, so 1 saved enough money and made
my own little studio. Made scores to different films and art-video's
for The National Danish Film Board. A few years later I started
to release my own stuff on a white label, because there were no
labels for such music in Denmark. I formed GOTO with Dj Kong and
later my own label - Multiplex. Now I've produced my own minimal
stuff and send a demo tape to one of my all time favourite labels
Disko B, insearch for a deal. Yes, it's a dream come true. In '96
I'll release a cd album called "Compositions for Pets" on Multiplex,
which is more listening stuff. It's almost like jazz in a way, a
free-form thing. On some tracks 1'm going to be using sampled live
drums. Likes - running fast, Japan, technology, CNN, LEGO, pets,
William Gibson, Douglas Copeland, Bill Gates, basketball, Star Wars
& Kung Fu movies
and life in generel.
